1 About these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are proposed between you and AccountGo (“AccountGo,” “we,” or “us”). “Service”
means the website at accountgo.dev, the application at app.accountgo.dev, related APIs, and documentation
made available under the applicable agreement.
If you accept for a business or other organization, “you” means that organization, and you represent that
you are authorized to bind it. If you do not have that authority, you must not accept on its behalf.
The Privacy Policy explains personal-information handling.
Applicable customer data processing terms must be agreed separately where required; accepting these Terms is
not blanket consent to all processing.
The short version
AccountGo is software, not your accountant or tax adviser. You are responsible for authorized access, the
records you provide, and reviewing outputs before relying on them. Your mandatory legal rights are not
waived.
2 Eligibility and authority
You must be legally able to enter the applicable agreement, provide accurate account information, and be
authorized to use the business records and workspaces you access. You must not use the Service where doing
so would breach applicable law.
AccountGo is intended for small businesses, independent contractors, freelancers, and other authorized
business users. An administrator's invitation does not authorize access to records outside the permission
granted.
3 Accounts and workspace access
Keep your sign-in credentials confidential, keep account information current, and use available security
controls appropriately. You are responsible for actions by users you authorize to the extent within your
control. Notify AccountGo promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Workspace owners and administrators are responsible for granting appropriate access and removing access
that is no longer authorized. Users must not share credentials or use another person's account without
authorization.
Sign-in uses an emailed verification code. Profile provides personal-detail updates and session-revocation
controls. Workspace access uses Owner, Admin, and Member roles and assigned security permissions.
Invitations expire after seven days and acceptance requires a verified account matching the invited email.
Owners can transfer ownership to an active member; the last owner cannot simply leave or be removed.
Report suspected vulnerabilities to support@accountgo.dev. These
user responsibilities do not excuse AccountGo's own security obligations.
4 Products and service scope
Invoicing & Bills supports customer invoicing and vendor bills, including recording
payments. Accounting adds ledger and journal workflows and financial reports. The
Enterprise offering builds on Accounting with inventory and separately agreed requirements
and pricing; it is not a third standalone product.
Access depends on the product, permissions, and entitlements actually made available under your agreement.
Descriptions of planned features or tiers are not a promise that they are available now.
Recording a payment in AccountGo is not the same as processing or transferring money. These Terms do not
promise payment collection, bank connectivity, or any other integration not included in the applicable
service description.
Free and paid tiers are planned for both products. Their availability, limits, and included features are
not finalized. No particular free allowance, price, service level, or Enterprise customization is granted by
this draft.
5 Accounting and professional responsibilities
AccountGo is not your accountant, auditor, tax adviser, lawyer, or fiduciary. Providing the Service does
not create a professional advisory relationship.
You are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of your inputs, your accounting policies and
classifications, your business decisions, and compliance with recordkeeping, tax, reporting, and filing
obligations. Review invoices, bills, entries, and reports before issuing, posting, filing, or relying on
them.
Software calculations and reports do not by themselves establish compliance with any accounting standard or
tax regime. Obtain qualified professional advice where appropriate. These responsibilities do not remove any
express contractual obligation of AccountGo or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6 Your records and data
You retain your rights in information and materials you or your authorized users provide (“Customer
Content”). You authorize AccountGo to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Content only as
necessary to provide and support the Service under the applicable agreement and documented instructions, and
as required by law.
You are responsible for having the rights, notices, permissions, and lawful basis needed to provide
Customer Content and instructions. Do not upload information you are not authorized to use.
This limited authorization does not transfer ownership of Customer Content, grant a general advertising
license, or independently authorize training AI models on it. Actual AI processing and provider terms must
be disclosed and agreed as applicable.
Keep independent copies of records you must retain. That precaution does not replace AccountGo's own agreed
backup, security, or data-protection duties.
Available downloads include invoice PDFs and CSV files for the chart of accounts and financial statements.
Ledger CSV downloads cover the currently displayed/filtered page, not necessarily the entire ledger. These
downloads are not a complete-workspace backup or migration export; retain the records you need before
closing access.
Requested invoice emails may include a signed PDF link and optional PDF attachment, with a blind copy to
the sender. A signed link can be opened without an AccountGo login and is generated with a seven-day expiry.
Keep it confidential; expiry does not revoke copies already downloaded or delivered by email.
7 AI-assisted features
AccountGo integrates Anter for platform help and questions about financial records, with human-in-the-loop
review supported through tool-request approval or denial. This does not mean every answer is checked before
display or approved by an AccountGo employee or qualified accountant. The external agent configuration
determines when approval is requested.
The five financial tools implemented in the reviewed AccountGo code retrieve the chart of accounts, trial
balance, balance sheet, income statement, and posted ledger transactions. These tools are read-only: they do
not post journals, change records, or transfer money. They use the current workspace and enabled modules;
report and ledger retrieval also require the relevant user permissions.
AI output can be wrong. It can misstate facts, misunderstand records, omit important
context, or produce plausible but incorrect figures. It is not accounting, tax, or legal advice.
Check important answers against the underlying records and reports. Do not rely on an AI response alone to
change accounting entries, issue financial statements, make filings, or make other consequential decisions.
Provide only information you are authorized to submit.
See the AI Feature Disclosure and Privacy Policy's AI section.
8 Fees and subscriptions
Any paid access must be governed by pricing and subscription terms clearly presented and accepted before
purchase. Enterprise scope and pricing require a separate agreement. This draft does not authorize charges
or establish renewal terms.
The reviewed application lets a workspace owner select a plan and included modules. That operation changes
software entitlements; it does not process a subscription payment. Displayed plan amounts and stored
subscription status do not themselves establish an accepted price, automatic renewal, or cancellation/refund
arrangement.
9 Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or deceptive activity;
- access another person's workspace or information without authorization;
- introduce malicious code, disrupt the Service, or impair access for others;
- bypass authentication, permissions, agreed usage limits, or other security controls;
- misrepresent an output as professional advice or certification from AccountGo; or
- use automated interfaces in a way that breaches documented limits or compromises the Service.
These restrictions do not reduce rights granted by applicable law or a separate open-source license.
Security testing requires authorization; coordinate proposed testing with AccountGo rather than probing
other customers' records.
10 Third-party services
Third-party websites or services you independently choose may have separate terms and privacy practices.
AccountGo does not control those independent providers.
This distinction does not remove AccountGo's responsibilities for its own selected service providers or
subprocessors under the applicable agreement or law.
Implementation dependencies include Cloudflare hosting/database services, Anter for the assistant, Resend
email delivery when configured, Google-hosted app fonts, and a configurable Google sign-in API. These
dependencies do not imply a bank connection or payment-processing integration. The Privacy Policy's recipient inventory describes the corresponding
data paths.
11 Availability, changes, and support
The Service depends on infrastructure, networks, and software that can experience interruptions. Unless an
applicable agreement expressly provides otherwise, these proposed Terms do not offer an uptime percentage,
service credits, or a particular support response time.
Proposed service changes and maintenance must remain consistent with agreed paid functionality and
applicable law. Material reductions, discontinuation, and associated notice or remedies must be addressed in
the applicable subscription terms; this draft is not permission to disregard a signed commitment.
General support is listed at support@accountgo.dev.
12 Intellectual property
AccountGo and its licensors retain their rights in the Service, design, documentation, and marks, except
for Customer Content and rights belonging to third parties. Subject to the applicable agreement, you receive
a limited, non-exclusive right to access and use the hosted Service for your authorized business purposes
during your access period.
These Terms do not withdraw rights granted under any open-source license that applies to AccountGo source
code. A source-code license does not itself grant hosted-service access, support, or use of AccountGo
trademarks.
No right to use your name or logo in marketing is granted by this draft.
13 Suspension and termination
Proposed grounds for suspension include a material breach, unauthorized access, a security threat, or a
legal requirement. Any suspension should be proportionate to the issue. Where practicable and lawful,
AccountGo should provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue; urgent security or legal situations
may require immediate action.
Stopping use is not necessarily cancellation of a paid subscription. Cancellation, termination, and their
financial effects must follow the accepted subscription agreement.
Termination does not automatically determine when business records are deleted or waive legal retention
duties. Data retrieval and deletion must follow the agreed processing terms and retention notice.
Profile provides account closure with email confirmation. Sole owners or only active members must transfer
ownership or delete affected workspaces first; the last platform administrator is also blocked from closing
their account. An owner can delete a workspace by confirming its slug. Account and workspace deletion are
soft-deletion operations: they close access but retain underlying identity/history or workspace records.
They do not automatically erase AI conversations or cancel a separately agreed paid subscription.
14 Warranties and disclaimers
Except for express commitments in the applicable agreement and rights that cannot lawfully
be excluded, the Service and its outputs are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by
law, AccountGo disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and
non-infringement.
AccountGo does not promise that every calculation, report, or AI response will be complete, current, or
error-free, or that use of the Service alone will satisfy your accounting or tax obligations.
These provisions do not override express warranties, applicable data-protection duties, mandatory consumer
guarantees, or other non-waivable rights.
15 Limitation of liability
Subject to the exceptions and mandatory rights below, the proposed allocation excludes indirect or
consequential losses and loss of profits, revenue, anticipated savings, or goodwill arising from the
Service, to the extent permitted by law.
No limitation excludes fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence,
or any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory rights and any agreed
exceptions take priority.
16 Third-party claims
The proposed customer indemnity would cover third-party claims caused by unlawful Customer Content,
infringement of another person's rights by content you provide, or your material breach of the
acceptable-use restrictions, to the extent attributable to you. It would not cover a claim caused by
AccountGo's own breach or misconduct.
Any approved indemnity must include prompt notice, reasonable cooperation, appropriate control of the
defense, and no settlement imposing an admission or nonmonetary obligation on the protected party without
its consent.
17 Governing law and disputes
Contact AccountGo with a description of a dispute so that the parties can try to resolve it. This does not
prevent reporting to a regulator, seeking urgent relief, meeting a legal deadline, or exercising a
non-waivable right.
Any final clause must preserve mandatory protections and forums available under applicable law.
18 Changes and notices
Revisions must display an updated date and explain when they take effect. Material changes require the
notice and, where required, renewed acceptance specified by the applicable agreement and law. Merely editing
this page does not automatically amend an existing signed agreement.
19 General terms
Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, it should be limited or severed only to the
extent permitted by law; the remaining provisions continue where legally possible.
No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision does not itself waive the right to enforce it
later.
Independent parties. Use of the Service does not itself create a partnership, employment,
agency, or professional advisory relationship.
